Shipping to Middle East
The Middle East is our longest lane and the one where planning matters most. Twenty-five to thirty-five days of transit means a container leaving Houston in October arrives in November, and any error discovered at destination costs a full round trip. We build that into how we quote: longer confirmation cycles, tighter documentation review, and no purchasing until the compliance path is settled.
What ships is largely hospitality and commercial fit-out. Kitchen and bathroom packages at hotel scale, tile and stone in large matched lots, commercial cooling equipment, cabinetry and millwork, and commercial-grade tooling. Volume per order tends to be high and repeat, which suits a lane where each shipment is a serious commitment.
Several markets in the region operate conformity assessment schemes requiring a certificate of conformity issued against the shipment before it leaves the country of origin, and some require consular-legalized or attested commercial documents. These are process problems, not obstacles — but they are sequential, and they are the reason this lane needs to be discussed at quote stage rather than at booking.
